Hey there, and welcome to Dragonworks.
We started back in 2021 as a group of friends from completely different corners of the world, brought together by Dungeons & Dragons. Some of us had spent years hunting for a good D&D group and knew how hard it was to find one. We also knew firsthand how the game can be a fantastic way to make new friendships bloom. So we decided to create a space where that could happen.
"Joining Dragonworks was a really positive experience. The campaign is fantastic, I've met a lot of really nice people (players and other GMs), and the structure for GM support and player support is really complete."
We had just started Dragonworks when war broke out in Ukraine in early 2022. Our lead writer, a Ukrainian national, continued to design and test our campaign while his house shook from drone strikes. That became the Legacy of Alabaster: a story that had our parties howling with laughter one moment and on the edge of their seats the next, taking the team on adventures where they'll face impossible odds together. It runs over 3,000 pages, enough to keep you excited for years.
"Dragonworks will always have a special place in my heart. The community is welcoming, supportive, and filled with passionate players and GMs who encouraged me to grow and refine my craft."
What's grown from that still surprises us. Players and DMs from dozens of countries and nearly every timezone, sitting down together each week, people who'd never have crossed paths otherwise. Couples have met here and gone on to marry and even raise kids. People have traveled so they could hang out in person. One of our players named his dog after a key character in our campaign. And there are still hundreds of friendships starting and blossoming every day.
At the end of the day, we just want to make games people love to play. And you can be sure that there's a seat waiting for you at our table.
